This Privacy Policy explains what information Dardar ("we", "us", "the App") collects from you, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using Dardar, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

We collect the information you provide directly, plus a small amount of technical data needed to run the service.

3. How we use your information

Operate core features: matching, browsing, messaging, listings.
Verify age (18+) and, where you opt in, identity (selfie verification).
Send push notifications for matches, messages, and likes.
Investigate reports and enforce our Terms of Service, including blocking abusive users.
Maintain the security and integrity of the service (e.g. preventing fraud or abuse).

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Who can see your information

Other users see the profile fields you fill in (name, age, bio, photos, etc.) as part of normal browsing, swiping, and chat — this is the core function of the app.
Service providers that host and run the app on our behalf, currently Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage) and Expo (push notification delivery). These providers process data only to provide their service to us and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Law enforcement or legal process, only where we're required to disclose information to comply with the law.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account inside the app. This removes your profile, listings, messages, and authentication record entirely — it is not a soft delete, and it cannot be undone.

6. Reporting and blocking

Dardar includes in-app Report and Block tools on profiles and chats. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team; blocking a user hides you from each other everywhere in the app. Report details are retained to support moderation and are not shared with the user you reported.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. You can access and correct most of your data directly in the app (Profile / Settings), or delete your account entirely as described above. For anything else, email support@dardarapp.com.

8. Children's privacy

Dardar is only for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and age is checked at signup.

9. International data transfers

Our infrastructure providers may process and store data outside the country you're located in. Where this happens, we rely on our providers' own safeguards (encryption in transit and at rest, access controls) to protect your data.

10. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and database-level access controls (row-level security) that restrict who can read or write which records. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
